I am originally from South Africa and had never been exposed to Spanish before our arrival in Lima. We lived in Lima for 2 1/2 years, during which time Mauricio and the Spanish Rules program was enthusiastically recomended to me by a friend.
I found Mauricio to be the most patient, gently encouraging, friendly, fun and understanding of teachers. He could vary the pace and manner in which the program was taught to accomodate one’s individual needs and abilities. I had 2 small children who didn’t sleep much. Mauricio and the Spanish Rules program allowed me to structure Spanish lessons according to my energy levels and my children’s routines. Learning spanish this way allowed me to deal with the everyday needs of a family in a foreign country, and to ultimately explore some voluntary work options for myself.
It was a wonderful experience to be the student on the easy to follow Spanish Rules program, taught by a person who has found their true vocation in life.
